My feet and hands are swollen, what should I do?

Edema of the hands and feet are common in the third trimester of pregnancy. They are more likely to occur with prolonged standing or heat. But beware, if they increase suddenly, if they are accompanied by headaches, "floaters" in front of the eyes, ringing in the ears, nausea, vomiting, irritability and/or pain in the upper part of the stomach, consult your physician quickly as this could indicate a pregnancy-related disease, pre-eclampsia.

Pieds, mains gonflés

J’ai les pieds, les mains gonflés, que dois-je faire ?

Des oedèmes des mains et des pieds sont courant au 3ème trimestre de la grossesse. Ils peuvent être favorisés par une station debout prolongée ou par la chaleur. Mais attention, s’ils augmentent subitement, s’ils sont accompagnés de maux de tête, de « mouches volantes » devant les yeux, de sifflements dans les oreilles, de nausées, de vomissements, d'irritabilité et/ou de douleur de la partie supérieur du ventre, il faut consulter rapidement, ceci peut annoncer une maladie de la grossesse, la prééclampsie.
