It provides outpatient and surgical care to some 300 000 cases annually. Activities in the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic and the Polyclinic includes treating all pathologies in the cardiac and vascular field for adults and children:

  • For children, cardiovascular surgery aims to correct or minimize congenital malformations, as well as acquired valvular pathologies and particularly those of a rheumatic origin.
  • For adults, it involves surgical treatment of valvular and coronary pathologies, heart failure, central and peripheral vascular pathologies, as well as varicose veins.

Patients could be hospitalized or treated as outpatients, either electively or as an emergency. They are given a referral consultation by their regular physician.

The Cardiovascular Center led by Professor Christoph Huber, has a mission to provide multidisciplinary treatment for cardiovascular disorders in order to improve the quality of care.
Treatment is patient-centered to provide, under the best conditions and as soon as possible, diagnostic investigations and treatments that will be needed.
