Vulvo-vaginal infection caused by a fungus (most often Candida albicans), which is physiologically present in the vagina.

An imbalance in the vaginal flora (as a result of taking antibiotics for example) or a change in vaginal pH can result in the local proliferation of the fungus.

The symptoms are intense itching and granular white discharge.
