The Youth Health Unit is for adolescents, 12 years of age and older, and young adults up to 25 years old. It was created in 2004 to meet the specific health needs of this transition period, and to help adolescents and young adults who have difficulties accessing care.
They are offered a holistic approach to health and multidisciplinary care:
Since it was created, the unit has been developing new approaches in care, education and research regarding adolescent health.
The multidisciplinary nature of the work, and the fact that it takes place within a network of partners in Geneva, are factors that foster a response that is appropriate to the health needs of young people during this phase of development.
