Down's syndrome : new prenatal test
Christened Genatest® (FR), a non-invasive prenatal genetic test is now routinely incorporated into the care provided to pregnant women. It is recommended for all mothers-to-be whose foetus presents a risk of Down’s syndrome greater than 1 in 1,000.
This test was developed by the genetic medicine department. It is entirely performed in HUG’s laboratories.
