Encouraging an early bond
Created in 2016, the parents/baby early care consultation (FR) has been incorporated into the therapeutic programme linked to the perinatal period. It offers a context for assessing the development of babies at risk due to a fragile family environment.
For each situation, doctors, caseworkers, the social worker, psychomotor therapist, nursing auxiliary and nurses discuss a healthcare plan with the parents and organise day hospitalisation. For one to six months, interviews and activities serve to resolve difficulties and create a bond.
The parents/baby early care unit received support from a Genevan foundation for fitting out the premises.
