Thanks to its research team (FR), the clinical research groups of the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine (FR) and the many collaborations with the Clinical Research Unit of the Dr. Henri Dubois-Ferrière Dinu Lupatti Foundation and with other organizations within and outside HUG, the HUG Oncology Division is very active in researching new treatment options for cancer and improving care.
Its research is organized around the following hubs.
Research in the Field of Immunotherapy, conducted within the Oncology Division by the Cancer Immunotherapy Research Group of the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with the Tumor Immunology Laboratory (FR) and the Clinical Research Unit of the Dr. Henri Dubois-Ferrière Dinu Lupatti Foundation, involves new treatments for malignant gliomas.
Research conducted in this area within the Tumor Immunology Laboratory (FR) relates to the spontaneous or induced response of the immune system in brain tumors, especially gliomas.
Research in this field is conducted within the Digestive Tumors Unit in collaboration with the Clinical Research Group for Cancer (SAKK) and involves the clinical and molecular heterogeneity of colon cancer.
