The latter supports the hospital and the University of Geneva's Faculty of Medicine in their provision of healthcare, teaching and research.
Any donations received from individuals and communities for project funding are strictly devoted to patients, care quality and research, all in complete transparency.
Supported by a scientific committee, the Board of Trustees selects the projects to fund.
In 2017, the foundation supported 49 projects, including 32 in the area of quality of care and patient comfort, 14 in research and 3 in the humanitarian field.
