I am suffering from nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy (approximately the first 3 months), what should I do?

Nausea and vomiting in the first trimester is due to a hormone (beta-HCG). It normally subside after 3-4 months. One in two women suffer from these symptoms. In the event of repeated vomiting each day or weight loss, consult your physician.

Gastric flu

I am suffering from diarrhea and/or vomiting, what should I do?

Gastroenteritis, “gastric flu", typically lasts 24-72 hours.
It is mainly caused by viruses.

These viruses are mostly not dangerous to the fetus, but you can consult your family physician.

Practical advice:

  • Drink lots of fluids (water, herbal tea, broth)
  • Eat rice/carrots/bananas
