Patients Partenaires

Become partners

Your contribution to the partnership can be made during a meeting or discussion with patients, caregivers, and professionals about various topics on communication, care, comfort, education, research, etc. The goal of these meetings is to find suitable solutions for the needs of patients and caregivers, which can be carried out in the hospital environment.

You can also participate in projects or teaching, or give us your testimonial.

Participating once does not mean that you have to continue after that.

Are you interested in research?

The HUG and research

Research activities are an integral part of the mission of the HUG and are carried out in close collaboration with the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine and the Haute Ecole de Santé (HES) de Genève [Geneva Higher School of Health].

The research carried out by the HUG is patient-focused and is called clinical research. The purpose of these clinical studies may be to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a method of diagnosis or a treatment, or to improve health professionals’ knowledge about a disease or a health field.

Patients as Partners

Mission

Mission of the Patients as Partners Project

The Patient as Partners (PP) project of the 20/20 strategy, supported by the HUG General Directorate, aims to develop the institutional culture of partnership at each step of patient care, in all care specialties, as well as in areas such as hospitality, teaching, or governance.

This project unfolds with the creation of an HUG PP relationship model, the creation of a partnership platform, the continuous recruitment of patients and caregivers and the enhancement and networking of the existing partnership at the HUG. The creation and teaching of the partnership occur through the support of patients, caregivers, and professionals.
