In 2016, the HUG implemented a specialized center to ensure that women with endometriosis receive multidisciplinary care at each step of the disease.
It coordinates all medical disciplines involved to establish the diagnosis, carry out the treatment, and ensure follow-up of patients.

The diagnosis is made after a complete gynecological assessment. This is based on a detailed interview with the doctor, supplemented by clinical and imaging examinations.

A designated nurse
Monique Uny is the main contact for patients and, if applicable, their partners. As a designated nurse, she is the link with the multidisciplinary team. Her role involves supporting women in all stages of their care pathway. She also organizes information and sharing sessions for patients.
