Understanding Emerging Viral Diseases and their Public Health Impact

-

From the 10th to the 12th of April 2019, the Geneva Centre for Emerging Viral Diseases will host the 2nd Symposium "Understanding Emerging Viral Diseases and their Public Health Impact".

Within a short time frame, research on emerging viruses has changed from a small, rather exotic niche within the virology field to a topic of major public health interest, also raising tremendous attention in the community and in the public. The Geneva Centre for Emerging Viral Diseases is dedicated to serve at the interface between fundamental research, translational, clinical and diagnostic virology with a close connection to public & global health – and this is also the mission that we want to be reflected in this symposium.
