The Centrale d’achats et d’ingénierie biomédicale (Purchasing and Biomedical Engineering Center), CAIB, defines and implements a common purchasing policy at HUG and CHUV. It negotiates purchasing terms and establishes contracts to ensure the institutions are supplied under the best market conditions. It ensures the procurement of medical and general goods and equipment for HUG and CHUV.
CAIB is a member of the European Health Public Procurement Alliance (EHPPA).
